Volunteer organisation raises £2,500 for three good causes in Rugby
Rugby Shree Prajapati (SPA) presented the money it had raised at two events over the past 18 months.
The group chose to donate money to Rugby Myton Hospice, the Friends of St Cross Hospital, and the Coventry and Warwickshire branch of Mind in Cromwell Street.

Hide AdRamesh Mistry from SPA said: “The support to the Mind charity became even more significant when a close work colleague sadly took his own life earlier this year.
“On behalf of the Association we would like to thank all those who kindly donated towards these valuable services and the volunteers for their time.”
Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf.
Rugby Myton Hospice, located by St Cross Hospital, offer spiritual and pastoral care, complementary therapy, art therapy, counselling services, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

Hide AdThe Friends of St Cross, fundraise, accept donations and bequeaths, from the public and use them to improve the experience of patients and staff at the hospital.
The monies raised came from a dinner dance held in December 2017 and a fun-filled family darts tournament held in February this year.
The latter involved those of all ages and abilities taking part, plus additional donations were received.
The donations will go towards equipment and support services for use by the charities here in Rugby.
SPA Rugby is one of 14 branches affiliated to the Shree Prajapati Association, which aims to advance Hindu religion, culture and education, and the relieve poverty and suffering.
