Farm worker's leg crushed in Southam

A farm worker in Southam suffered a serious leg injury on Thursday morning.
The incident happened at Fields Farm, in Station Road, just before 11am.

Crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were called to the scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "On arrival crews found a man who had suffered a serious leg injury.

"It is believed he had suffered crush injuries from a tractor and trailer at the farm.

"He was treated at the scene and stabilised."

The man has been airlifted to University Hospital Coventry.
